Uganda is the first African country where we started helping. 21% of the population lives below the poverty line. 22% of the population has no education and are completely illiterate.
It is no secret that Uganda is called the pearl of Africa. Enchanted by the local flora and fauna, he was called Winston Churchill. However, the country has been struggling with extreme poverty for many years, many people live without access to drinking water, have no health care, a quarter of them can neither read nor write at all, one in ten children is malnourished.
How We Help
Our assistance in Uganda goes mainly to the Buyende area, where the Buyende Care Foundation was established in 2017 and we became their partner.
In 2020, in addition to the activities that we started and successfully implemented in our partner centre Buyende Care Foundation, such as the provision of accommodation and meals, we want to expand the Distance Adoption program to our partner centre, as well as other development projects.
These are intended to assist, in particular, in the field of education as well as in the development of the Center, with a view to meeting the program items declared by the United Nations until 2030 on sustainable living. Achieving the independence of the centre and ZERO HUNGER is our primary goal. Our effort is also to include all children in the educational process, as only through education can we change the future of these children.
